"Tatanka Iyotake 1881" Bronze Statue

Commissioned by the Friends of Fort Union in the 1990s, this statue of Tatanka Iyotake, or Sitting Bull, is a bronze by ND native Dave Kulczyk. This statue was created as a spec for a larger statue that was never completed. Numbered 9/500, the run was stopped before completion, so this is a rarer item than indicated.
The statue shows Sitting Bull around the time that he surrendered at Fort Buford in July of 1881. It stands 14 inches tall and weighs approximately 6 pounds.
